Rough Draft:
Reflection: (Journal #9)
Revising my cover letter I’m going to focus on following AIDA. I think this will help to keep me focused on how to formulate the sentences so they are not focused on the things I have done, but rather what skills I derived from them. Additionally, I’m going to shorten the cover letter so it’s a little bit easier to digest, while maintaining my unique voice to help the employer get to know me. I think when I was originally writing the cover letter I was focused on providing evidence that I had the skills that I have, but I realize now that the cover letter consists of the claims, and the resume is the evidence. I think making sure that I keep this in mind will help my cover letter become more concise and compelling.
